Riding the Golf Maintenance Roller Coaster
Please join us for a morning of education focused on the future of golf course maintenance. Some of our members have never experienced golf so popular. Members and golfers are taking notice on course conditions. Profits are being put back into maintenance budgets. Some are using the dollars for equipment, projects and certainly labor. On March 24thwe’ve lined up a varied group of experts to discuss these topics and more including Guy Cipriano, Editor of Golf Course Industry. We plan to discuss and share ideas for places to spend monies to not only get the most bang for the buck, but places where golfers will take notice, appreciate and hopefully free up more dollars for future projects. We all know that drainage is always needed but realistically it’s only appreciated by a few people (other than the turf). Explore some ideas to make an impact. We’ve lined up a panel of members that have been through recent projects or are in the middle of planning them. They’ll discuss different strategies and the fine line of what can be done in house and what may make the most sense to contract out to others. We’ll also talk about the importance of putting monies into labor not only for the short term health of your staff, but the long term survival of golf as well. Speakers for the day include:
Guy Cipriano, Editor Golf Course Industry, Greg Martin, Martin Design Golf, Michael Benkusky, Michael J. Benkusky, Inc., Doug Myslinksi, Wadsworth Golf Course Construction, Jeff Mingay Golf Course Architect, Nate Bolhous, Briarwood Country Club, Dan Tully, Twin Orchard Country Club.
